Project plan

• Lymph nodes examined for Salmonella Choleraesuis in the national surveillance program for Salmonella in hunted wild boars and lymph nodes from found dead wild boars examined within the wildlife disease surveillance program at SVA will be analyzed by PCR for Porcine Circovirus-2 (PCV-2).


• Development of an improved immunohistochemical method for PCV-2.


• In a subset of pigs analyzed by PCR for PCV-2, lymph nodes also will be analyzed by immunohistochemistry.
