Roe deer on the vegetable fields- are they are potential risk of spreading zoonotic cryptosporidium?

The aim of this project is to investigate the occurrence of Cryptosporidium spp. in Swedish roe deer and to also identify what species and subtypes of this parasite that they may be hosting. This to better determine if roe deer may be a potential risk of spreading zoonotic Cyptosporidium on vegetable fields and in doing so contaminating the crops used for human consumption.
