Research area :Cryptosporidium, Giardia, ticks, waterborne parasitic infections

Research projects focusing on unicellular parasites with zoonotic potential. Detection and tracing of parasites to their source are critical during outbreaks, with improved genetic markers serving as essential tools. Waterborne outbreaks are relatively common, and collaborative efforts with the National Food Agency (Livsmedelsverket) aim to develop heightened diagnostic sensitivity.
